ABOUT
Journal Journal is a journal about journals.
I have a journal in the form of
a log of everything I’ve eaten since June 2020.
I thought I was alone until I learned
that a colleague had kept a Word document
of every meeting he has had since 1993.
I started a journal about journals to find
others who keep logs or records about their life.
The sorts of personal records found in this journal
typically go unseen, or only come to light after death,
seen by a processing archivist and a handful of researchers.
This project brings these records to light by exploring what our choice
to create administrative work for ourselves around a specific subject matter
by tediously documenting it says about what we value, and why.
Journal Journal is an annual publication
with both digital and analogue formats.
